Ok, I am trying to do whatever I possibbly can to save stuff from my PC, as right now I only have like 40 or MB of memory there.

I purchased a Sandisk Compact Flash Card to use with my BrailleNote, but now I need to buy a Compact Flash Card reader so I can transfer stuff between the 2, and save stuff from the PC to the CF. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't wanna just buy any random reader, and have it not work w/my PC/BN, if I ever get my BN upgraded...grrrrr!!! Thanks everyone!

I actually got a deal on mine, its a reader/wrighter and I got a 512 MB flash card. Of corse since I have no luck at all with the blasted PAC Mate, as it always resets itself, I may at some point gert a lap top IO'm not sure. John

honestly, that really didn't help me...I mean, thanks for sharing, but what kind is it? And, what do you mean by a reader/writer? I'm not trying/meaning to sound mean...for real!

I would get a card reader that can read as many different card types as possible (i.e. CF, MMC, memory stick, etc.). That way, if you ever get an MP3 player that uses memory sticks or MMC cards, you won't have to buy another card reader. Take your CF card to the store with you and have them test it to make sure it's good.

Most cf readers are dirt cheap. Oh and I know this is not the right topic but I am not going to find that one because I don't want to but I recall you saying that AIM was giving you out of memory mesages and it has to me too, but that means that it is taking up RAM not harddrive space. RAM is temporary and is what programs get loaded into when they run, that is usually refered to as memory. Harddrive space is what things get saved onto, so when the computer starts up it loads its stuff from there. RAM is flushed when the computer is turned off.

well if you ever read this, you odvisly can get a san disk reader, or you can get a nother brand called a dazzle reader, works great with a san disk card use it all the time to transfer files, to my braille note.

Ok, I have a blasted pac mate and was wondering if it was required to have a reader with my compact flash card? and what about my teachers? Can't I just set up an activesync connection without the reader? Hoope these questions aren't too obvious, Liz
